Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer for sale this fantastic pair of 19th century antique Federal period Tiger Maple saber leg chairs. The front legs & rear stiles feature horizontal running tiger maple with the grain on the crest, seat rail & curved stretcher deliberately running perpendicular. The chairs are made from extremely bold grain Curly Maple and have cane seats that are free of any damage. We’re always in the market for good pairs of chairs and can’t tell you how many we pass on due to condition issues. These chairs are nice and sturdy and are in wonderful condition with our only notes being minor surface wear & an old restoration to each crest. The chairs measure 17 1/4” wide x 19” deep x 34” tall with a seat height of 18”.
