19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE LARGE EMPIRE OGEE GILT MIRROR WITH CARVED SHELLS
Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.
We're pleased to offer for sale this great 19th century Empire period antique ogee gilt mirror with shell carvings. From a lovely Scituate, MA home this mirror is quite large measuring 33 1/2" wide x 56 1/2" tall. The mirror has a finely formed ogee profile frame in a high gilt surface sure to brighten up any room. The mirror has 4 wonderfully carved gilt shells on each corner in exceptional condition and no breaks. We did note minimal re gilding on a few parts where it flaked off. It's hardly noticeable on this monumental and impressive mirror. The overall size of the mirror is 33 1/2" wide x 56 1/2" tall with a sight size of 25" wide x 48 1/2" tall
