19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY FEDERAL PERIOD TILT TOP TABLE WITH CARVED PINEAPPLE PEDESTAL ON SABER LEGS
Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.

We're pleased to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century Federal period pineapple carved tilt top table on saber legs. This is quite the sophisticated table with a masterfully carved central pineapple on the pedestal. We have no doubt this was commissioned by a high end NYC cabinet shop. The table is rich with early tool marks and attractive saber legs. We note a restoration to the base we've shown in the photo series. This is an unfortunate truth to saber leg bases, they're more susceptible to damage and we understand that and have priced this accordingly. We can look past the minor repair and find beauty and sure another will as well for such a finely carved and formed table. The bottom of the base retains it's original iron spider support. This table has a 20 1/2" diameter at the base and 30 1/2" diameter at the top. When the table is locked down into it's flat position it's 28 1/2" tall. When the table is locked up closed the height is 44" tall.
