19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN TIGER OAK BANQUET / DINING TABLE ~ 48" X 94 1/2"
Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.
Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this fantastic 19th century antique Victorian tiger oak dining / banquet table. The table is crafted from an exceptional grade of quarter sawn oak with vibrant rays and flecks present in the grain and is finished in a warm golden oak color. The table has 5 massive carved and fluted legs with matching carvings at each corner of the table apron. We’ve been handling a lot of formal 20th century dining tables lately and they all sell pretty quick but we were having some trouble finding Victorian dining tables that we want to offer our clients. Technological innovation and increased education led to a prosperous era in the Victorian period. For the first time in history furniture could be mass produced and furniture was crafted for families of all means. We’ve been encountering a plethora of good Victorian dining tables but they really aren’t worth shipping around the country. Because of this and our limited warehouse space we have to be very selective and only offer tables on the better-best tier. The table has 4 tiger oak leaves each measuring 11 3/4” wide. The table alone measures 48” wide x 47 1/2” long x 30” tall. When the 4 leaves are installed the table measures 48” wide x 94 1/2” long. The distance from the floor to the bottom of the apron is 25 1/2”.
