19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SINGLE DOOR GOLDEN OAK BOOKCASE ~ ORIGINAL WAVY GLASS
We're delighted to offer for sale this sweet 19th century antique Victorian single door bookcase. The bookcase is made from oak finished in a golden color with nice proportions & acanthus leaf carvings. This cabinet retains it's original old wavy glass with a strong rippling effect that didn't translate well in the photos. The interior has 3 shelves that can be adjusted to a multitude of heights to accommodate different sized books. The back of the bookcase has an old transport label showing this was sent to Springfield, MA at some point in it's life. We had a good laugh and said welcome back when we brought it back to our warehouse. This would have arrived at the old Union station right in the heart of old Springfield near the Massasoit House hotel. The bookcase measures 30 1/4" wide x 13" deep x 53 1/4" tall.
