Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 19th century antique Mahogany parlor table. The table was made in the Neo-Classical style that was popular in the early 19th century but was made towards the end of the 19th century and is what we refer to as second period. The design might have been revisited around the centennial celebration or may have just been a custom order as even today classical style furniture is very popular. The table has a large Mahogany top with carved Acanthus leaves and cross hatched carvings on the apron. The table has 4 carved lion paw feet with additional Acanthus leaf carvings and shallow hatch carvings on the upper edge. The table is in very good condition with our only notes being minor surface wear to the top and a very small piece of carving work missing from one leg that can be seen in our standalone photo. The table has a 36” diameter and stands 28 3/4” tall with 25 5/8” of clearance under the apron of the table.
