19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN HEAVILY CARVED GILT GESSO WALL MIRROR
We're delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning 19th century antique Victorian carved gilt mirror. This mirror is in it's original high luster gilt surface in wonderful condition. When we encounter these repainted we'll simply pass on them. The frame is decorated with 4 concentric gesso carved borders with repeating floral & leaf designs. Each border varies in scale and is unique in design. The gesso work is separated by wonderful high luster curved panels that really help through light around and illuminate the mirror. We note only the smallest gilt loss as pictured and the mirrored glass was a later addition to the frame. The mirror measures 27" wide x 31" tall with a sight size of 19 1/2" x 23 1/2".
