We're proud to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century antique Victorian tiger oak double door bookcase. The bookcase stands on carved front feet with two rounded profile base drawers. The bookcase retains it's original wavy glass doors and open to reveal 8 interior shelves with a split configuration. We actually prefer the split configuration, many people underestimate the weight of their library and it can be a lot of stress on a single shelf. The bookcase retains it's original lock & escutcheons. We'll be sure to match up a key for our end client for ease of operation. This example features a raised gallery and is in a clean golden brown finish. The bookcase is stamped with production number 372 on the back panel. The bookcase measures 45” wide x 14 1/2” deep x 61 1/4” tall to the top of the gallery & 57 1/2” tall to the flat surface. The shelves has useable dimensions of 20 1/4” wide x 10” deep with a max cavity height of 49 1/2”.
