19TH C ANTIQUE SHERATON TIGER MAPLE & BIRDS EYE MAPLE SIDEBOARD / SERVER
19TH C ANTIQUE SHERATON TIGER MAPLE & BIRDS EYE MAPLE SIDEBOARD / SERVER
With our highest compliments and utmost honors, Bay Colony Antiques is extremely proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 19th century antique Sheraton Cherry, Tiger Maple, Birds Eye Maple & Burled Elm sideboard / server. We were very excited when we saw this piece because of it’s rare form, fantastic condition, large scale, and exceptionally fine wood selection. The sideboard has three convex Birds Eye Maple drawers along the top edge with red felt linings to accommodate silver. The three center drawers are also convex formed with Tiger Maple faces, and the side cabinet doors are also Birds Eye Maple with a cross banded edge. The cabinet doors have a shelf inside and provide ample storage for even large dining services. The cabinet has fully formed Birds Eye Maple Tuscan columns and impressively slender turning patterns at the feet that are solid as a rock & have no problem supporting the weight of the cabinet. The sideboard has paneled cherry sides and an outstanding Burled Elm veneer along the top edge and below the top drawers. The sideboard is in fantastic condition with our only notes being minimal age expected surface wear & a small veneer chip on the left door that we’ll have our woodworker address. The sideboard measures 63 1/4" wide x 23 1/2" deep x 46" tall.
