Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 19th century antique Sheraton Mahogany drop leaf table. The table has rope carved legs which were popular in port cities with people who made their fortunes at sea. The table is made from imported Mahogany with an attractive grain pattern & is finished in a warm amber color. The leaves have rounded corners and the table has a single drawer with an embossed brass pull. The drawer has pine secondaries with hand cut dovetails & a chamfered panel. This was probably made around Boston or the North Shore of Massachusetts. The table is in great condition with our only notes being minor surface wear, light sun fading to the top, & a small piece of molding missing to the left of the drawer. The table measures 18” wide x 36” deep x 28 3/4” tall. When the leaves are locked up the table measures 42 1/4” wide x 36” deep.
