Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 19th century antique New England Sheraton drop leaf dining table. We purchased this from a local Connecticut home, and it was probably made in Connecticut, but the form was used throughout New England so it’s difficult to be 100% certain. The table has 6 legs & is made from beautiful cuts of figured Cherry. The leaves are supported by a traveling gate leg on each side and the table is quite large and would comfortably fit 6 people. The table is in wonderful condition with our only notes being minor surface wear, a small tear out on the rule joint near the hinge, and barrel hinges were added to the gate leg. With the leaves folded down the table measures 19 3/4” wide x 52” deep x 30” tall. The top alone measures 17 1/2” wide x 52” deep. When the leaves are locked up the table measures 52” wide x 52” deep.
