19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE SHERATON PERIOD 2 DRAWER CHERRY & MAHOGANY WORK TABLE / NIGHT STAND
Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.
We are pleased to offer for sale this quaint New England 2 drawer cherry & mahogany Sheraton work table. This is a country made table crafted from native cherry & mahogany used for the drawer faces. Outside of major cities mahogany was scarce and often used in this manner for a high city look in a country cabinet shop. New England white pine is the secondary wood with hand cut dovetail drawers & chamfered drawer bottoms. We do note the stand has a seasoning split present throughout each side. These are stable and not at risk of expanding. This stand is decorated with stylized floral sandwich glass knobs & attractive turning pattern on the legs. The stand is 22" wide x 19 1/4" deep x 29 1/4" tall.
