Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer for sale this fantastic set of 4 19th century antique Federal period Birds Eye Maple saber leg dining chairs. The chairs are so pretty & were made from extremely bold grain Birds Eye Maple & Curly Maple. The set has cane seats that are free of any damage. These work very well in country / primitive interiors and are perfect for smaller kitchens in old homes paired with a tavern table or farm table. The chairs are nice & sturdy and are in great condition with our only notes being minor surface wear & 2 fills on the crest of the chair in the front left of our gallery image. We pass up on a tremendous amount of these chairs every month because most aren't nearly this good & we simply won't offer any sets with significant structural repairs or alterations. These chairs were very well cared for and if you've been in the market for a set of Maple saber leg chairs like these, we would strongly recommend considering this set. The chairs measure 17 3/4” wide x 19” deep x 34” tall with a 17 1/2” seat height.
