19TH C ANTIQUE QUEEN ANNE SPONGE PAINTED BUCKET BENCH
19TH C ANTIQUE QUEEN ANNE SPONGE PAINTED BUCKET BENCH
LATE 18TH / EARLY 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE QUEEN ANNE PENNSYLVANIA SPONGE PAINTED 3 TIER BUCKET BENCH
Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this exceptional early 19th century antique Pennsylvania Queen Anne sponge painted bucket bench. We’ve been bothered by not having a bucket bench in our inventory but most are primitive and often clumsy and we choose to only offer better - best tier examples for our clients. The last few we purchased we just sent off to auction because it doesn’t really make sense to spend 200-300 dollars to ship a run of the mill example across the country. Our patience has certainly paid off and we’re extremely excited to offer this choice bucket bench to our clients around the globe. These were originally intended to store buckets of water and other supplies one would regularly need in an 18th or 19th century home. The bench has cut out sides and 3 shelves with a fantastic black and red sponge paint. The bench measures 36” wide x 11 1/4” deep x 45” tall. The bottom shelf measures 34 1/2” wide x 11 1/4” deep with 12 1/8” of useable height to the second shelf. The second shelf measures 34 1/2” wide x 11 1/4” deep with a useable height of 19 1/8” to the top shelf. The top shelf measures 36” wide x 8” deep.
