With our highest compliments we're proud to offer for sale this exceptional New England Federal Period Fruit Wood Hanging Wall Cabinet. Crafted from the most select sapwood cuts of a New England fruit wood this cabinet is off the charts. We strongly believe this is a Vermont cabinet but the style persisted throughout most of New England. The cabinet features wonderful pegged construction and early joinery techniques. The cabinet has a central paneled door above 1 drawer with an inlaid pear wood escutcheon. The drawer retains it's original iron lock. The cabinet has an attractive lambs tongue carving on the edges and a complex base and crown molding. For a country made piece from a smaller New England town this was evidently made by a skilled cabinet maker.
