Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.
Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer for sale this wonderful 19th century antique Victorian Eastlake ebonized parlor chair. The Eastlake movement began in England with designs from architect Charles Eastlake. Eastlake furniture is characterized by its rectilinear lines and shallow carvings opposed to high relief carvings and Cyma curved lines that dominated the early Victorian period. The chair is in wonderful condition with a tasteful fabric of orange flowers amid an ivory field. We just checked our notes and couldn't find the sizes of this but will amend the listing shortly.
