EARLY 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE FEDERAL PERIOD PANELED CHERRY TULIP POST ROPE BED
We're delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning 19th century antique Federal period cherry rope bed. The bed is in wonderful untouched condition and was greatly cared for by the family. This is an early 19th century bed CA 1820/1830. The bed has generously formed turned columns with dramatic tight ringlet turnings with tulip formed tops. The bed is solid as a rock and comes complete with 5 slats to support the box spring and mattress. The bed measures 55" wide x 80" long x 52 1/2" tall. The interior between the rails measures 47" wide x 72" long. This will require custom bedding for best use. We work with a plethora of custom bedding makers and the average consumer would be shocked and appalled to learn their 3k top of the line mattress is locally made for a minute fraction of the price. When the mattress leaves the makers shop and gets a name brand tacked onto it the price goes way up. When ordering off size box springs it's only one extra cut the maker needs to make so it's not as complicated as most people assume and in our experience it's only ~$50 more.
