19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE NEO CLASSICAL STYLE PAIR OF HEAVY BRASS ANDIRONS

Thank you for shopping with Bay Colony Antiques. We're a third generation family owned business furnishing homes all over the world. We aggressively pursue important antiques, decorative arts, and objects of interest for our most discerning clients.

We are honored to offer you these extraordinarily fine pair of Circa 1830 New York City Brass Andirons with fantastic hairy paw Griffin legs & eternal flame finials. Crafted to celebrate America's transition into our early Federal Classical period these fit the more sophisticated interiors envisioned by Duncan Phyfe, The Allison Brothers, William Sylvester and the other Master Craftsman influencing the New York City decorative arts and furniture shops. These represent the best important decorative goods of this movement that widely spread throughout the Southern U.S. states pre-American Civil War. They possess wonderful back lobbers and firedogs. Each are 12" wide at their feet, 16" tall with 20 1/2" deep.
