We're delighted to offer for sale this wonderful early 19th century antique blanket box / trunk on frame. The box is painted with a very nice bittersweet green surface with decorative brass liner & tacks. The tacks are arranged in a drapery pattern on the front and an ovolu pattern on the top. The strap hinges have been replaced with later barrel hinges and the interior is lined with old wallpaper. The box retains it's original side handles & frame system. We see a lot of people place a piece of glass on these and they make very nice modern coffee tables.
