IMPORTANT AMERICAN ANTIQUE PENGUIN-BEVERAGE CO. ADVERTISING MASCOT-CLICQUOT CLUB SODA COMAPNY

With our very highest compliments we are honored to offer you this 1920's lifelike painted hand chased Coppersmith's statue of a Penguin. It was made in the United States in the 1920's as the advertising mascot for an Clicquot Club Beverage Company of New England. This 13 1/2" tall (about actual species size) hand painted has extraordinary lifelike detail. Its something very special and part of our collections of American Folk Art. We note its entire body is copper chased over plaster filling. Its a copper sheet engraved statue. We note the Penguin's feet are made of cast iron. Its beak has a tiny hit from an unceremonious fall. It has missing paint and retouched paint on its right breast. At one point this was given to a beverage store by a New England distributor and sat with his advertising on a threaded steel rod in the store's window. Otherwise its about 98% there and you are looking at something pure American 1920's art deco. We have just noted two of these very rare specimen sell. Each was much smaller and we simply should raise our price. We desire to keep some financial incentive here.
