Bay Colony Antiques is honored to offer you this extremely fine 18th century Thomas Hepplewhite period spade foot mahogany server with bottle drawers. Commonly called "Silver Servers" or " Brandy Boards" this is a very fine specimen in the rarest of sizes possessing exceptional period craftsmanship, period high quality brasses, yew wood secondaries (a close to extinct species exploited for weapon, ship & furniture making) the most exotic Central American mahogany in highly figured old growth species of solid widths. Obviously made by a furniture maker of the highest skill set & training defining its case with ultra finely detailed holly inlays on all leading edges. This is a piece made by one of the most important London shops of the 18th century. The case has a graceful demi lune form standing on Six Spade feet with blocked collars. Additionally the case is equipped with center drawer flanked by twin bottle drawers each with faux faces making it appear to have 2 more drawers in its case. The frame system is all through tenon joined & this is beyond challenge a top tier quality period investment grade piece perfect for any dining, hall or foyer & office storage. It measures a perfect 50 1/4" long, 25 1/2" wide & 36 3/4" tall.
