RARE & IMPORTANT WILLIAM & MARY EARLY 18TH CENTURY TOMBSTONE BONNET TOP VITRINE
Bay Colony Antiques is honored to offer you this wonderful very early 18th century William & Mary period tombstone formed bonnet topped hung wall cabinet or vitrine. Sometime refereed to as Rum Cabinets this is a wonderfully fine specimen close to 300 years old made with exceptional craftsmanship employing a burled walnut oysters technique of veneers. The veneers are complete and it is with major renovations & restorations. We note new hanging boards on the back of its case. We believe although the glass was reglazed its possibly original as it possesses fantastic active seeds within it. These are rare & we are proud to offer it to our educate collectors. It is 39" long, 10" wide & 38" tall.
