With our highest compliments and honors we're truly proud to offer for sale this incredibly rare 18th century Queen Anne period tombstone form vitrine. Relics like this don't surface every day but we've been diligently working amassing a huge supply of new inventory ready to present for sale. Most are not on this tier, but are high quality home furnishings and antiques but this vitrine is absolutely museum grade and ready for a new home. The vitrine has a lovely steeple formed bonnet crafted from the absolute best oyster wood veneers. The cabinet retains it's old wavy and seeded glass. The interior has one shelf with a pink embroidered silk interior with remnants of original powder blue paint present. We've attached pictures of the construction showing how the bonnet and cabinet were made. This is an absolute gem in pristine condition from the 18th century. The vitrine stands on 4 cabochon design feet with a nice subtle Rococo influence. The feet do have some loss present as expected. This is a 250 year old cabinet we make no apologies and excuses for. This vitrine is 31" wide x 17" deep x 38" tall.
