18TH CENTURY NEW ENGLAND HEPPLEWHITE ANTIQUE BLANKET CHEST IN MUSTARD SPONGE PAINTED FINISH
We are pleased to offer you this exceptionally fine 18th century New England pine Hepplewhite period blanket chest. This chest possesses an extraordinarily well preserved mustard colored sponge paint decorative finish. It has two simulated drawers and two real drawers. The drawers facings and its flip top are all skillfully molded. It stands on well formed French feet and has dovetailed joined case secured at its transitions. It has nicely scrolled left and right side bases along with the front apron. Its drawer panels are deeply chamfered and made from nicely oxidized native red pine. It measures 39 1/4" long, 18 1/2" wide and 42 1/2" tall. This is one of the finest paint decorated period American pieces that has come to market over the last year.
