18TH CENTURY ANTIQUE WILLIAM & MARY NEW ENGLAND LADDER BACK CHAIR
We're pleased to offer for sale this wonderful antique 18th century William & Mary period ladder back chair. This is a superb early New England example with all it's original integrity & charm. The chair employs a sophisticated bulbous turning pattern with tight ringlets & wonderfully formed finials. The chair is in a nice old painted surface with the splint seat being completely restored by it's previous owner. We won't touch period chairs if they've been structurally altered or significantly repaired. The absolute worst we can say about this piece is the feet have slightly ended out with 250+ years of use. The chair measures 18" wide 14" deep x 41 1/2" tall with a seat height of 14".
