Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic 18th century Antique Queen Anne document box. The box is in the original red wash finish and retains its original iron strap hinges and iron hasp. The escutcheon and the lock are missing, and the side handles were a later addition. There’s also an old paper railway tag affixed to the back from the end of the 19th century. The interior of the box has useable dimensions of 19” wide x 9 3/4” deep x 9 1/2” tall. The overall dimensions of the box are 22 1/2” wide x 12 1/8” deep x 11 1/4” tall. When the lid is fully open the height is 22 1/2” tall.
