We're delighted to offer for sale this wonderful 18th century antique Queen Anne tiger maple tilt top table. Tilt top tables we're a hot, novel commodity in 18th century homes and owning one was an indication of wealth & importance. The table is defined by a nicely turned maple pedestal with finely formed snake legs with a dramatic slender ankle with saw tooth carvings along the base. The base has been reinforced with an iron spider & at some point in the table's life the crab lock was removed and replaced with a wood block to lock the table when the top is folded down. The table measures 32" wide x 44" tall when flipped up and 26 1/2" tall when flipped down.
