With our highest compliments we're proud to offer for sale this exquisite pair of 18th century Federal period tiger maple beds. We are aggresive buyers of the finest tiger maple furniture & reserve the best for our clients. This exceptional pair came to us from a Newton, MA home where the last owners had them in their guest bedroom. These beds were well cared for and cherished by the family. The headboards are crafted from nice vibrant grain cuts of tiger maple. The beds hold sturdy and true with an easy to assemble carriage bolt system. The rails are fitted with iron L brackets to support the boxspring and mattress. This pair has wonderfully formed complex posts defined by tapered reeded carvings, urn & ringlet carvings, & urn finials. The beds measure 39" wide x 79 3/4" long x 62" tall. These will require custom bedding with interior dimensions of 34 1/4" wide x 74 1/4" long. Custom bedding makers are plentiful around every major city and we can fully assist in the process with your local resource. Custom bedding sounds like a daunting task but in all reality it's just two extra cuts for the mattress maker and is only ~$50 more expensive. These are one of the finest pairs of beds we've had the pleasure of offering in quite some time.
