Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this charming 18th century antique Chippendale side chair. The chair is in its original black painted surface with original stenciling and has everything one could hope for in a good early side chair. The chair has a nice form with a well executed Cupid’s bow crest and pierced splat. The chair has an old, possibly original, rush seat and nice desirable signs of age like the proud pegs where the wood is joined and the wear patterns on the stretcher. The chair measures 19” wide x 17 1/4” deep x 37 1/2” tall with a seat height of 17”.
