Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this wonderful 18th century antique Federal period brass & iron fireplace fender. This example has a weighted base with no damage or holes to the wire work. These are appropriate for 18th and 19th century homes and we tend to buy a lot of these since a lot of the homes we furnish have multiple fireplaces. The fender has a brass upper rail with a nice lattice design below, a sweeping curlicue design at the center. The fender measures 46 3/4” wide x 16” deep x 10 1/2” tall.
