With our highest compliments and utmost honor, Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic 19th century antique Chippendale Mahogany roundabout chair. The chair has a pierced splat, shell carved knees, and wonderfully carved ball & claw feet. These types of chairs were extremely desirable in the 18th century and were often used at desks because they’re very comfortable and the arms can fit under the lid of a writing desk. The chair is in fantastic condition with our only notes being a small repair to the back of the crest and a small repair to one of the splats that can both be seen in our 9th photo. The chair has a multicolor floral seat that’s in great condition free of any rips and holes. The chair measures 29 1/4” wide x 26” deep x 30 3/4” tall. The seat alone measures 15 1/2” wide x 15 1/2” deep with a seat height of 17”.
