Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this charming 18th century antique George III period Walnut side chair. The chair has a great cut out pattern around the seat box and is nice and sturdy with 4 round base stretchers. The chair has a multicolor needlepoint seat with two phoenixes or birds of paradise, surrounded by flowers on a red field. The chair is in very good condition with our only notes being minor surface wear and a small stable age split towards the bottom of the splat and at the top corner of one of the front legs. The chair measures 21” wide x 20” deep x 38” tall with a seat height of 19”.
