It is refreshing to find a true set \u0026amp; we believe the chairs were made up north in either New Hampshire or Maine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe crest rails and the horizontal back slats are shaped to contour the body and showcase an attractive curly maple grain. The woven cane seats are in excellent condition with our only notes being a couple of cracked strands across the set. The seats are plenty strong, easily a 9.5 out of 10, but we still want to make a note of it as we aim to bring to light any “flaw” no matter how small or insignificant they may be. When we find these chairs with broken seats we more often than not can’t purchase the set as caners charge about $1 per hole which can quickly become cost prohibitive. The legs exhibit a pleasing turning pattern that terminate in ball feet and the set is very sturdy. As with all natural fiber seats, we would recommend a suitable cushion to help distribute the weight across the cane.
