Bay Colony Antiques takes the most exceptional honor in offering you this extremely important and very early 18th Century circa 1710's South Shore, Massachusetts William & Mary shaped top candlestand on a pronominal tripod triple stretcher base. This specimen's type is well mentioned within Wallace Nutting's Furniture Treasury along with Israel Sacks' reference books as some of the most desirable and just a few years outside of Pilgrim century classification. It employs an octagonal shaped top, vasal and balustrade turned pedestal, a very nicely crafted cleat and skilled scribe lines. It has an 18" X 18" top and stands 27" tall. One of the best American candle stands that has come to the market place this year.
