Bay Colony Antiques Is delighted to offer for sale this wonderful Pecan wood Queen Anne antique style tilt top table. Pecan is in the same family as Hickory and while not an overly popular cabinet making wood it works and finishes quite well. The table has an oval top with a mix of straight and wavy grain. The pedestal has a substantial turned column and the legs are finely formed with an interesting grain pattern. Staying true to the 18th century manner the cabinet maker even custom built a brass spider to reinforce the legs. When the table is flipped up like in our gallery image the table measures 23 1/2” wide x 20 1/2” deep x 45 3/4” tall. When the top is locked down the table measures 23 1/2” wide x 32 1/2” deep x 27 3/4” tall.
