Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this exceptional pair of 20th century Chippendale antique style tiger Maple bachelor chests / nightstands. We purchase almost every single pair of chests like these that we find in homes and were over the moon excited to find a pair this clean and with such select cuts of Tiger Maple. The previous owner’s used these as bedside tables and they looked great alongside their mahogany tester bed. The French feet were very well executed and the chests have nicely scrolled aprons & attractive brass pulls. The chests are a near pair with only minute differences in the hardware & the scrolling on the skirts but are clearly from the same hand. The drawers are nice and clean and are constructed with hand cut dovetails & hand chamfered bottoms. The chest on the left with the traditional style brasses measures 20 1/4” wide x 13” deep x 22 1/4” tall. The chest on the right with the acorn brasses is a hair wider measuring 21” wide x 13” deep x 22 1/4” tall.
