With our highest compliments and utmost honors, Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this exceptional mid 19th Century Antique Queen Anne Pennsylvania Walnut lowboy / dressing table. This is a second period piece that was made to the exact standards of its earlier predecessors which are practically unobtainable nowadays because of their scarcity and prodigious cost when they do surface.

The lowboy employs a desirable 1 over 3 layout with a scalloped apron. The Trifid feet are well balanced and have a ton of character with a shallow curve between the toes & an elongated webbing running up to the ankle. Trifid feet are also referred to as Drake feet because of their resemblance to duck feet. When found on American furniture, Trifid feet are almost always indicative of a Pennsylvania origin. The drawers are dovetailed and have molded faces with brass batwing pulls. The upper drawer does still have its original lock, but this didn’t come to us with a key. The dressing table is in fantastic condition with our only notes being a couple small age splits on the sides, minor surface wear, and an old well-done repair to the middle toe on the front left leg. The age splits are very small and not at risk of expanding, and the repair on the toe is almost invisible but it’s our policy to bring to light anything we notice on inspection no matter how insignificant they may be. The dressing table measures 32 1/4” wide x 20” deep x 29 1/2” tall.
