With our highest compliments and utmost honors, Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this exceptional late 18th / early 19th century antique Tiger Maple Hepplewhite drop leaf table. This is a New England table that we pulled out of a Georgia estate. The table has tapered legs with an attractive ovolo top. We’re probably the most aggressive Tiger Maple buyers in the country and pride ourselves in bringing the finest early American Curly Maple furniture to our clients around the world. The previous owners really didn’t want to part with this but since we bought almost their entire home, they were willing to include this table. When Tiger Maple is this boldly figured it's often referred to as "instrument grade" and generally reserved for instrument making, cabinet making, or cut into veneers for luxury vehicles. If you’ve been in the market for a superior Tiger Maple drop leaf table, we highly recommend this one for your consideration. Period Tiger Maple tables in this good condition are rare in their own right, and the extremely bold grain and scalloped leaves elevate the table into the upper echelon of early American drop leaf tables.the table is in wonderful condition with our only notes being minor surface wear, a small tear out at one hinge, and a slight cupping to one leaf. The table measures 20 1/4” x 39 1/2” deep x 29 3/4” tall. When the leaves are locked up the table is 46” wide.
