With our highest compliments and utmost honors, Bay Colony Antiques is extremely proud to bring to market this superb early 20th century antique Tiger Oak Arts & Crafts Gustav Stickley library table. We’ve attached a photo from an original Gustav Stickley catalog showing this library table, #616 with it’s original price of $42. Gustav never really saw the commercial success that some of his other siblings did even though he created a superior product at a lower price point. His work was earnest and if you read his label or catalogs he would 100% guarantee his work even after multiple years of use. This is one of his larger tables measuring 54” wide x 32” deep x 30” tall. The desk is in exceptional condition and has recessed panel sides and a recessed panel back. The drawers retain their original hammered pulls and best of all the original label is present and in superb condition. Only a couple of these surface every year and most don’t have the paper label. The table itself is in exceptional condition and the paper label is near perfect; without a doubt one of the best surviving examples. We scour New England and have pushed our sourcing routes further south and further west purchasing the absolute best antiques & decorative arts for our clients around the US. Even with our insane volume it’ll probably be another year or two before we find another signed Gustav Stickley 616 library table comparable to this one. We’re sure this listing will attract it’s deserved attention and would recommend this library table to even our most critical collectors. The table measures 54” wide x 32” deep x 30” tall.
