Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this exceptional & rare 19th century antique Virginia Walnut 2 drawer work table. Our family is originally from Boston & Boston furniture has a very delicate scale with elegant lines. Some may see this stand as a little clumsy but it’s exactly what you hope to find from an early 19th century Virginia cabinet shop. The stand has two drawers each with a porcelain pull and fantastic recessed panel sides & back. The stand has a bulbous turning pattern on the legs and is in fantastic condition with our only notes being minimal surface wear but nothing that would warrant a refinishing. We have been in Western MA for the last 15 years but purchase from estates all along the east coast and are now pushing further west and have even ran multiple cross country trips in the last year. New England was exceptionally prolific and we are very grateful that since a lot of this stuff was made here, a lot of it stayed here. In any given week we have 100+ hours of commitments between my brother and I but occasionally we get the chance to get out of New England and access different markets. We purchased this from a Loudoun County estate with a few other Virginia case pieces that we’ll be listing in the next couple of weeks. The stand measures 21 3/4” wide x 21 1/2” deep x 30” tall.
